Scholarships And Grants

Each grant application will be reviewed by the WING Foundation Grant Committee. All checks will be written to the business that the debt is owed. If financial assistance is not deemed to meet the intent of this grant the following steps will be taken:
- Referred to the appropriate National Guard Program
- Resources will be provided to assist with each applicants’ specific needs
- Follow-up to ensure that the applicants’ situation has been resolved or further assistance is needed
Eligibility:
- Current Wisconsin National Guard Soldiers or Airmen
- In financial need without sufficient available funds to pay debts
Ineligibility:
- Expenses that are normally covered by National Guard, Veterans Affairs, State of Wisconsin or Insurance benefits
Approval:
- Financial assistance below $1000.00 will be determined by the WING Foundation Grant Committee
- Financial assistance over $1000.00 will be determined by the WING Foundation Grant Committee and Board
Applicants that receive a grant will not be eligible for another grant for 12 months and a $2000.00 annual cap. (This can change as funds available increase).

- Programs that promote Morale, Welfare and Recreation or Community Engagement
Eligibility:
- Programs that promote Morale, Welfare and Recreation or Community Engagement
Ineligibility:
- Activities that are not for the betterment of the National Guard or Service Members
Approval:
- Financial assistance below $1000.00 will be determined by the WING Foundation Grant Committee
- Financial assistance over $1000.00 will be determined by the WING Foundation Grant Committee and Board
Applicants that receive a grant will not be eligible for another grant for 12 months and a $2000.00 annual cap. (This can change as funds available increase).
Application Deadline: July 1st, 2023 (Applications received after July 1st will not be considered)

- High school senior of a Wisconsin National Guard Service Member

- Associates Degree
- Bachelors Degree
- Masters Degree
- Certifications
- Licensing
WING Foundation Scholarship Packet: (Failure to provide a complete packet will disqualify the applicant)
- WING Foundation Scholarship Application
- Applicant’s class transcripts
Funds will be disbursed directly to the higher learning institute by the WING Foundation Treasurer around August 15th.
*The number of scholarships for the year are determined by funds available.
Application Deadline: July 1st, 2023 (Applications received after July 1st will not be considered)

- Spouse or dependent of a Wisconsin National Guard Service Member

WING Foundation Scholarship Packet: (Failure to provide a complete packet will disqualify the applicant)
- WING Foundation Scholarship Application
- Applicant’s class transcripts
- Applicant will submit a written essay which will include the following: (Word Document)
- Essay will be a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 2,000 words
- Field of study and why
- Learning institution and why
Scholarship Renewal:
- Scholarship is renewable with a two (2) year maximum per applican
- Applicant must maintain a 2.5 GPA to remain eligible
Funds will be disbursed directly to the higher learning institute by the WING Foundation Treasurer around August 15th.
*Scholarships will be two (2) per year for $1,000.00 each.
*Selection committee will include the WING Foundation Scholarship Committee and Michael Noack (family member).
